emily summers - Modernised, meaningless, Easter.
2 Views • Oct 28, 2014
Description
they seem to be forgetting,
what Easter means,
Easter was the death of Christ,
he gave up his life,
I see it as such a waste,
a day of sadness, but we stuff our face,
no-one cares now,
material things make it all better,
no-one needs to think, or feel,
no-one knows which emotion is real,
we're getting so attached to plastic,
we need to look past it,
we're spiralling out of control,
all the little girls want are barbies dolls,
you all need to see,
that material isn't all its cracked up to be,
and celebrate the day that used to mean so much before,
celebrate the cross and so much more,
you don't have to be religious just remember,
that jesus christ had to surrender,
for his faith, so pause from stuffing your face.
