Its like i'm transparent,
it's all so apparent,
the way i feel about you,
you're just too good to be true,
i'm invisible to you,
you're with her,
the one you prefer,
what can it be?
I know i'm not pretty,
but can't you see?
I have a great personality,
I may as well be dead,
you'd notice me then,
you just stare straight through me like I'm not there,
I opened up and told you,
but you walked away,
I'd never felt so rejected on that day,
since then I haven't been the same,
maybe I'm to blame,
i'm not what you want,
it's all my fault,
it's as if your heart is in a vault,
and i don't have the key to get to it,
you had stolen mine,
i was fine,
until now because it's broken,
i want to cry,
you just see me as that nice girl,
you have another girl as your world,
she's prettier,
skinnier,
smarter and better than me,
so i'll carry on being that girl,
there if you need me,
but until you do I'll carry on standing in the distance,
invisible to you.
