Emily E. Mehigan - Eternal Forever

There once was a love,
So wrong and so twisted,
That heaven and hell,
Were puzzled,
Disgusted.

The creature of the darkness,
She loved him well,
But she was of the living,
And he was of hell.

He loved her also,
Though their love is forbidden,
He held her close,
To her heart he would listen.

She now sought an answer,
To her puzzling question,
How can they be together,
Without causing such tension,
Between life,
And between death,
She wished to stop the fighting,
So they were not looked on,
With faces of hatred.

She knew then her answer,
She would now take action,

She pressed his mouth to her neck,
He wept as he drank,
Her life draining through him,
Her eyes going blank.

The guilt was so horrible,
He hates what he did,
But when she wakes up,
She gives him a kiss,
She says it's alright,
They both will be creatures,
And together roam the night,
Forever eternal,
'Forever' he whispers.
