I touched your skin,
And it was cold,
Cold as death.

Had he come,
The one,
Called death.

I want you back,
But you’re with him,
Death.

I fought him,
After you left,
Death.

I beat him,
He tried to take me,
But I stood up,
And I was strong,
Even though,
I wanted to give up,
To fall,
I beat him,
Death.

Now I wait,
For my true time,
My time with him,
Death.

Live fast,
Die young,
Is what he says,
But I said no,
And I fought him,
Although I wanted,
To die that day,
I would not let him,
Take me away,
Death.

I am weak,
And so were you,
But I did something,
You couldn’t do,
I fought off death,
And that makes me,
Stronger.
