Emergency Terror Alert Sweeps Through Tel Aviv

Israeli Police put their forces on high alert in Tel Aviv metropolitan area early Tuesday morning, following a warning of a Palestinian plan to carry out a terror attack in the city. The alert is the most serious terror warning to threaten the city in some time. While many sources in Israel note that terrorist organizations in the West Bank have recently threatened to carry out terror attacks against Israel, sources in the Palestinian Authority blamed Hamas, saying the organization is interested in escalating the situation in order to influence Israels upcoming general elections. 12/02/08
