When I was alone,
you were always there.
When I was sad,
you showed that you cared.
When I was out of control,
you brought me back down to earth.

When I had hard times,
you helped me cope.
When I had given up,
you gave me hope.
When I had no where to go,
you gave me a home.

When I needed a friend,
I knew where to go.
When I needed to cry,
I had someone to show.
When I needed to talk,
I had someone to call.

When I needed my space,
you didn't know how.
When I needed to get away,
you didn't see somehow.
When I needed time,
you couldn't see.

When I lost you,
I lost something more,
I lost apart of me.
