Elya Thorn - Winter Fantasy

Silver snowflakes fall so easily under the smiling moon...
She knows...

Silver rays of light fall from the dark gray sky,
And the moon... she knows...

The little devils are asleep now,
Winter is singing a lullaby for the young.

The peaceful moon, watching from above...
Everything is resting, gently breathing,

You took my hand into yours,
And we watch them, as they blush in their sleep,

Even winter seems to sleep, a white night dream
Descends in our minds,

I drank from the cup of sorrow and idleness,
But instead I’ve received happiness,

Another warm long embrace,
And the moon, she seems to know...

The frozen lake, the storm sounds asleep,
The trees, leafless, my heart, cover less...

And the moon... oh, she knows...
She knows that my heart needs no cover,

For it has found its shelter.
A little kiss on the devil’s cheek,

And the moon looks down, right at me,
She knows that my wounds are healed now...
