Hollywood's glitz and glamour was everywhere to be seen at Elton John's Oscar party.

The Rocket Man singer's annual bash raises money for AIDS research.

"This has been my main priority, it has been for 23 years now. We can see a light at the end of the tunnel, we can see it being very treatable and all we have to do is get rid of the stigma and make people feel proud that they have the disease, or not ashamed to have the disease, so that we can once and for all, end in a few years the necessity of doing events like this."

After some tomfoolery with British musician Ed Sheeran, John's husband, filmmaker and producer David Furnish, said it was still important for Hollywood to use cinema to highlight AIDS.
