Elsa Bear - Tsunami

the loneliness never goes away
and there is always a sense of despair that accompanies it.
hand in hand they swim up to the surface
and linger just below
biding their time,
creating ripples in my veneer,
waiting for the darkest, lowest moments
the perfect time to break through
when i am alone and most vulnerable
when my heart beat is the only sound
and then i am engulfed.
