Description

Mother used to warn me
About guys like you
“Don’t let him get into your pants”
I didn’t listen

One of those days where
Everything fades
And all there is are the hands
The somehow know where to touch

I let you inside me
But not inside me
You understand?
Inside, but not inside

When you’re little you dream
Of a big white horse
And a prince in armor
With a kiss of magick and love

When you’re older you don’t
You don’t dream
Because the prince is really a dragon
That devours your skin

And what’s worse is
Is you let him
Let him into the places
That are hollow and sacred

My body was never
A temple
I destroyed it early on
So no one would ever want me

That’s what draws them
The smell of death
To the wounded everyone flies
Like vultures to an abandoned nest

When someone did want me
I let him take
What he pleased
And let my heart bleed

Stars are gone, fading into black
All there is the bleakness
Of my choice
And his warm body against mine
