Description

I knew the woman at the bar
With sunken cheeks who pondered deeply
And poured her drink tediously.
With a sullen look she toppled over a tumbler
I noticed every move of hers'
When the woman decided to order
A cloying dish
Of oily fish;
She poked a fist into it without consideration.
'Why was she acting like a childish git? '
She purged the dish away
And told the waiter
'No fish for today'
At the table veneer
A reflection of her kamikaze look could be seen,
Which she inherited from her great Aunt
Who always looked radiant but gaunt.

The woman always were crabby
She never stopped nagging
She saw things at a different angle
Which made things hard to handle.
She treated people with venom,
Like a blasted canon.
She took the word 'sorry' as a threat.
And thought it was bad luck to keep a black cat as a pet.

I can't believe her children turned out to be
Humorous and kind,
That is so hard to find.
