Plucking petals from the flower
My convictions fluctuate
Always completely sure
But if you just wait

Another minutes goes by
And I'm back to fear
A heart-wrenching tie
I've shed more than one tear

From hot to cold
From yes to no
From meek to bold
From friend to foe

A choice between cursory affection
Or unrequited desires
Spiralling emotion
Tunnelling down into raging fires
