seriously. thank god for volunteers who will step up when you need them. we had our executive director get fired WHILE i was on medical leave with mono, so we had one of our volunteers man the office for a few hours each day until we could get an intern.
I think you're making a lot of assumptions that are leading you to think HEMA practitioners don't understand their sources. We know full well who the target audience was. And furthermore that each of these weapon masters was purporting to have the best system with "secret tricks".
The Lieuchtenauer tradition, for instance, is based heavily on master cuts that are supposed to be not known to the vast majority of contemporary fighters / duelists.
And we know, furthermore, that the very high quality books were produced for nobility. The most blatant example is Thiebault's book on rapier; Louis XIII's name is huge and on the first goddamn page along with a huge list of other wealthy benefactors.
The thing is most of the techniques described work, and we know they work from extensive practice and tournament "testing".

I'm guessing what is meant here is that you may get attached, but you could never share a life with a slave. Or perhaps she gets attached and no longer works for you in the same way. Or you get attached and she doesn't, so you're forced to sell a good slave.

There was one where the enterprise journeyed to earth and dealt with a problem Wesley had at the academy and it was pretty good.

I was a part of my college's chamber choir and we sang live on A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor and sang on stage with Bobby McFerrin when he performed on our stage. Amazing people and wonderful experiences.
Someone should start a private security company that specializes in Korean security agents.
