Electrolysis and laser hair removal are both effective methods for hair removal, but they work differently and are suited to different needs.

Electrolysis offers a proven solution for permanent hair removal. It involves inserting a fine probe into each hair follicle to deliver an electric current that disables or destroys the hair root. When done by a skilled practitioner, electrolysis can achieve permanent results.

In contrast, laser hair removal uses a laser beam to target and destroy the roots of multiple hairs simultaneously. This method is generally faster and less painful compared to electrolysis. Electrolysis treats one hair follicle at a time, which can make the process time-consuming and, for some, more uncomfortable, especially when treating larger areas like the face, underarms, bikini line, legs, or back. However, the discomfort is usually manageable and short-lived, especially for smaller areas.
