ELDERLY POPULATION FACE FINANCIAL ABUSE

If you know someone who is misusing elderly people's pensions against their will, or other finances, that is a form of abuse and it should be reported.


With 77 cases of elder abuse reported for 2022 so far, Financial Abuse is recorded as one of the most common form of abuse against elders in T&T. This data came during the Ministry of Social and Family Services' webinar in commemoration of the UN's World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, Wednesday. Melissa Maynard has the details.
