you've heeled me love
a half-tame wolf
with my heart
hanging down my chest
all disturbing ripples of color
and nothingness
I feel insubstantial
like a thin shell
cracking with each breath
at the silence inside
wondering how I will move
from this sadness that
I tiptoe through
barefoot and blindfolded
among its pain daggers
