Heat-laden anticipation
ripples gently,
simmers expectantly.

Energy crackles,
whip-lashing tension,
showering sparks.

A sighing whisper
stirs smoldering embers,
birthing glowing coals.

Kisses of flame
tease upward,
flickering hungrily.

Searing tongues
blaze mercurial trails
along secret paths.

Scorched breaths
ignite sizzling
firecracker explosions.

Wildfire thrusts
boldly forward
in a fevered rush.

Firestorm rages,
rapturously
inflaming all.

Roaring inferno
melts the stars,
and ebbs.

Consumed,
exhausted,
naught is left,

but
red-hot
ashes.
