Eight-metre high lantern monkey in Shanghai

Impressive footage has emerged from China of an eight-metre high lantern monkey being exhibited at the Yuyuan Lantern Festival.

The video, captured in Shanghai on Wednesday, shows the lantern monkey lit up, which can rotate its head and twinkle its eyes.

Although the weather has been bad lately, a large number of tourists have still visited the region to see the exhibits.

According to local news, all the lanterns were hand made by artists.
