Egypt's new interim prime minister takes the oath of office at a ceremony in Cairo.

Hazem el-Beblawi is one of 33 sworn in on Tuesday by interim President Adli Mansour.

The head of Egypt's armed forces is among them as interim deputy prime minister.

The army-backed administration doesn't include a single representative of either of Egypt's main Islamist groups which have won five consecutive elections since 2011.

The interim government faces a mammoth task.

It'll be looking to return the country to civilian rule and rescue the economy.

That's complicated by deadly protests still bringing near daily bloodshed and chaos.

Clashes erupted during this protest in Cairo on Monday as supporters of ousted president Mohamed Mursi demanded his reinstatement.

At least 99 people have died since Mursi was toppled, more than half of them shot by troops outside a barracks near a mosque a week ago.
