Edythe Sims - The Generation Leaves

People are like leaves on the trees.
Shining bright, giving and receiving with all
their might;
some walking in darkness and some in light.

No one can boast of his achievement, or
just how long he will live.
For we are all just like leaves on the
trees.
Falling in the sun light and in the cool evening
breeze.
The storms of life sometimes blow hard with
people falling brave and strong, some right
and some wrong.
You cannot count the leaves on the trees
watching them as they fall,
Neither can you know when God will call.

Just remember that we all are a part of the
generation leaves,
Falling out of sight sometimes by just a
little sneeze.
