Do as you do,
not as I've done
said the father
to his son.

Something new
that belongs to you,
never a copycat.
Do as you do.

Copycats try
and try and try
to be who they're not
and that is why

they don't seem real
for they did steal
another's deed
to fill their need.

The chilhood taunt
'copycat, copycat'
belongs to children
so leave it at that.
