Edward Hester - Willow
3 Views • Oct 28, 2014
Description
Slowing, I considered her slim good looks.
Her tentativeness captured my heart-the wind
Moving her green raiment, so – provocatively.
Her fine tresses moved in the light airs;
Graceful limbs, pulling at my eyes, exploring
Down her long limbs and back up;
Graceful and alive, slender and flowing.
Who knows what might have been?
Trees decide so slowly, and humans so hastily.
I never heard her ask for my name. I never asked her her's.
So I was gone long before anyone noticed
Her small limb, weeks later, extended
Towards the path where I had stood considering
Her slender beauty-.
