Edith SaintFelix - Acceptence (old poem)
1 Views • Jun 18, 2014
Description
Every time I see that pain I want to run and hide
She can't accept who I am, she says it isn't right
Every time i try to talk she always wants to fight
I don't understand how a mother could treat her daughter this way
She doesn't just do it one in a while, she does it everyday
I thought that she loved me because of who I am
I guess her perspective changed cuz she doesn't give a dam
I thought that she would be with me through the thick and thin
But I am not the daughter she raised, to her I am just a sin
I can't change who I am and neither can she
I have to be who I am not for her but for me
I know that in my heart this is who I'm meant to be
And if she was the mother I thought she was, she would agree with me
I'm proud of who I am and that's all I have to say
And in case you were wondering yes I am gay.
