You ignored the igloo we bought you
And shunned the snuggly sleeve.
The cat bed and cushions don't tempt you
And the fleecey blanket you leave,
When it comes to the night
The only place right's
At foot of our bed if you please.

The window ledge, now empty, was ignored,
Step with care over china the test,
Best biscuits and cat food, you've scored,
Fed, played then off for a rest.
When we heard your meaow
Our hearts melted, and how,
You've filled the void left by lost pets.
