Edcon, Tashas and Absa brace for change

Retail group Edcon has signed a purchase agreement that will see it sell parts of the Edgars chain to rival Retailability. Famous Brands, has sold its controlling 51% in Tashas, which it bought in 2008, back to the Sideris family. Absa has reported a collapse in profit in the six months to end-June.
