Dr. Salcedo received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Cuenca in 1985. He subsequently attained his post graduate degree in Plastic, Resconstructive and Esthetic Surgery along with Maxillofacial Hand Surgery at the University of Juan. N Corpas in Bogota, Colombia. In 2001, he continued his plastic surgery training at the Teknon Hospital in Barcelona, Spain, with a focus on maxillofacial surgery.

Dr. Salcedo is a board-certified member of the Ecuadorian Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is an active member of the Ibero-Latin American Society of Plastic Surgery. He has also held the position of president of the Ecuadorian Society of Plastic Surgeons for his local Cuenca chapter. And he actively participates in various conferences to continually update his skills.
