Ecuador: Opposition Protests Continue but Turn Violent

Opposition protests continued in Ecuador over the weekend, although the number of participants was down. Some of the protests turned violent, with 11 soldiers and police injured by gunfire when trying to remove an illegal roadblock in the Amazonian province of Morona Santiago and 80 policemen were injured in other parts of the country.
