EBRO S700 Design Preview

The historic Barcelona building of La Llotja de Mar was the chosen place to celebrate the resurgence of EBRO, the legendary Spanish automotive brand. Hosted by the renowned journalist Ainhoa ​​Arbizu, the gala presented to dealers, suppliers and customers the brand strategy with which it faces the future that lies ahead. A future that is embodied in the first step represented by the two new SUVs EBRO s700 and EBRO s800.

The event, held yesterday Wednesday the 4th, began with a dialogue between the main executives of EBRO SUV moderated by Arbizu. Among the interventions, Pedro Calef, president of EBRO SUV, stood out, who emphasized the 70 years of history of the brand and its commitment to Spanish society, then and now. He also introduced the new management team of the brand, automotive enthusiasts and especially focused on taking EBRO from Barcelona to the whole world. The new EBRO, which is already moving towards the future, does not forget the rich history it treasures. Nor the purely emotional aspects: thousands of Spaniards have memories of youth in which EBRO is present.

Calef was accompanied by Xu Johnson, his counterpart at Chery Automobile Spain, technological leader and global partner of the Spanish brand. With him he shared EBRO's vision, summarized in the phrase "a brand from Spain for Spain, in Europe for Europe." In addition, he advanced the innovative technologies with which the brand faces its future.

Later, Peter Matkin, Site Leader of the Chery Technical Center Shanghai, and Jorge Susaeta, Deputy CEO of EBRO, delved into key aspects of the new models. They showed attendees the brand's design concept and how it is applied to EBRO s700 and EBRO s800. They also showed all the advantages of the innovative Q-Power technology and the improvements in performance and efficiency that it represents. The recently launched models already benefit from many of them.

A separate chapter was dedicated to the future PHEV (plug-in hybrid) versions, which, with an electric autonomy of 91 km and ultra-low emissions, are among the most efficient in their category. And, of course, they obtain the DGT 0 label and all the tax advantages and facilities in daily mobility that this entails.
