Eating a Scorpion Pepper Challenge

Ohio man Christopher Spradin won a Spiceworks contest by completing the challenge of eating a scorpion pepper. The pepper rates at 1.4 million on the Scoville scale for measuring the heat of spicy peppers (Jalapeno peppers rate between three and 8,000). Watch his reaction after ingesting the hot food as he gulps down liquid, gasps for air and even begins to cry. He called it ‘the worst experience of my life’. Credit: Christopher Spradin.
