Eat for Equity to Host Third Benefit Dinner

After two successful benefit dinners, Eat for Equity Stamford is getting back in the kitchen to help raise money for another local organization. Eat for Equity is a growing national movement in which volunteers cook a meal to raise money for different non-profits. The movement began in Stamford in October. This Saturday, Eat for Equity Stamford organizers will cook up their third meal to benefit Domus, an agency dedicated to helping children. RJ Mercede, a coordinator for Eat for Equity Stamford, says the community's participation in the Eat for Equity events has exceeded expectations. Saturday's menu will include roasted potato salad, a variety of different chilis and cornbread, pork and chicken sliders, and more. The suggested donation is $15 to $20, but Mercede says any amount is appreciated. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. in the Domus library at 83 Lockwood Ave. in Stamford.
