Earth Mama - I Feel SIck

It was bright and sunny
Too nice to be at school
But before I could stay at home
My mom I had to fool

I clenched my teeth
Until my face turned red
I looked up at my mom
And this is what I said:

“I think I have the creeping crud
Crawling through my belly
It sure can make me burp
And it comes out super smelly

My forehead is so hot
It could fry an egg
And I’m not sure why
But there’s green spots on my leg

My tongue feels fuzzy
My eyes see only spots
And worst of all
I think my brain’s begun to rot”

As she sat on my bed
I knew that I had won
I was ready to go out and play
In the nice hot sun

But then I really did feel sick
As I listened to her say
“I guess you’ll have to stay in bed
Too bad it’s Saturday! ”
