Earle N. Williams - Anticipation

The evening sun was sinking.
The gulls were sweeping low.
A gentle breeze was swaying the palm trees, to and fro.
My hearts was feeling lonely,
because the one I love was leaving me forever,
but waiting up above.
So maybe on the morrow,
when my life is through,
my loved one will be waiting,
and we'll begin anew.
