my face
delicately in your hands
gaze at it
kiss an eyelid
lips
then
lips
again
the dimple in my chin
bring it near
hold it at a distance
as if to study
the transformation
you have wrought upon it
you kiss it
with eyes open...eyes closed
the calligraphy
of your love
with kisses
for words
as if I were
a poem
being written
my mind
swooning
with each touch
of the pen
my face
an open book
upon which
is written
again
& again
'I love...I love! '
