Dónall Dempsey - PAS DE DEUX

He brought his girl to the ballet
(and watched entranced)
as she watched entranced
(& her heart danced) .

He wished that
what ever would befall them
that the curtain would never fall
that the music would play on
and that this moment
would forever
contain them.
Later on on the late nite buses
among the merry throng
of boozers & party goers

still the spell
could not be broken
as his fingertips
held her breast
and their mouths met
& lips parted

and the kiss was
magical
as if they were
their own little ballet.
