She walked past
her door.

Then, confused...came back.

Her door
was red

but I
had painted it

black.

She just stood there
like she was made of stone.

I guess...she
didn’t dig it.

A girl & a guy
sauntered past

each sharing
an earpiece apiece

early STONES
leaking out

staining the afternoon.

“Say something! ” I said.

“Say anything! ” I pleaded.

“Go! ” she said.

“Go! ” she repeated.

“And never...ever

darken my door

...again! ”
