midnight
forever trapped
in the broken watch

midnight
masquerading as noon
when Time comes around

broken watch
unable to tell the time
the seconds mock it

old grandfather clock
pontificates
all of the last century in his voice

clocks all talk
in tick tock
broken watch suffers in silence

broken Barbie...broken Jesus
broken watch
prisoners in a second–hand shop
