Look at this pitcher
Once so full of liquid

That stirred and painted a perfect picture
And quenched the thirst with flavors blended
While filling the glasses of those who lent it
Inspiring the artist far beyond intention

Refuting what's far beyond retention
Giving all of what it had, for attention
Only to realize now what it's missing
Eager to get the liquids swishing

Passing around to be poured into another's glass
That arrives in their digestive tract, only to pass
In the end, slithering down an unknown path
the pitcher reflects and is flabbergasted

'I took all this time to fill them up
but I myself am an empty cup.
I've quenched their thirst,
But I should've quenched mine first.
I lie here vacant and dry,
but if i give myself time,
these fluids shall rise to my brim
and alas I shall be full again'
Thus it's journey begins

Traveling to the flowing waters to the places where they ended
In lands of imagination, farther than any being had mentioned
Searching for truth beyond perception of the eye
perching high to perceive the rain fall from the sky
observing that it filled the rivers with pride
along the hills the waters slide
and deep within the ground, fluids reside
It was then, the pitcher realized

How to be full again
How to keep the fluid up
at least to the brim
never to feel as never enough
To the liquid he had to attend

Look at this pitcher
stirring and so full of liquid
