Dwayne Bailey - My Dog Mikey

Today I had to put my dog down,
old age, arthritic, and sick.
I've had him for fourteen years,
and right now I feel like a big prick.
Mikey was my familys first dog,
we got him when my oldest boy was just two;
he has been with my family ever since,
inside my heart I am sad and blue.
I will shurely miss him,
running to greet me as I return home;
I know that he has a better life now,
and the fields in heaven he'll roam.

Written for my mutt Mikey; I will truely miss you boy! !
