A tee is mandatory with any through the wall chimney installation. Wall straps, a wall thimble, and a tee support MUST be installed with the tee as directed. Tees have a 1" insulation blanket.

If installed in a chase ventilation air for the chimney must be drawn from outdoors using a chase air intake available from DuraVent.

The Tee has a clean-out cap which is removable for easy chimney cleaning or inspection. Simply remove the screws holding the cap on and it allows for easy cleaning by allowing the soot to fall right out.

You can choose either galvanized or stainless steel depending on the application. If your chimney will be enclosed in a chase you can use galvanized, but if your chimney will be exposed to the outside elements it is recommended to use stainless steel. Stainless Steel holds up much better when exposed to the outside elements therefore reducing the need to replace pipe pieces in the future.
