Dubai's first Robocop deployed

Dubai's first robot police officer has started its duties as part of a new police program and will be on duty in malls and tourist attractions.

The public can use the touchscreen embedded in its chest to report crime, pay fines as well as get information.

The robot is also equipped with a video camera that allows for police to monitor the surrounding from their headquarters and is the first robot deployed in the country's plan to make one quarter of its police force robotic by 2030.
