Drunk driver leaps bridge and crashes into road barriers

Dramatic security camera footage has emerged from China of a drunk driver losing control of his vehicle and smashing into roadside barriers.

In the footage, captured on CCTV in Zhejiang Province on Saturday, the SUV approaches a bridge far too fast and accidentally jumps it, landing in a shower of sparks on the other side before colliding with fencing at the side of the road.

According to local media, the driver was tested at the scene of the accident and was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol.

Fortunately, the driver and passenger survived the accident and were being treated for minor injuries in hospital.
