Drug wars continue in Mexico
Description
Violence has continued to reign on the streets of Ciudad Juarez where at least eight people were killed in what authorities believe to be drug related.
At an auto repair shop five men were gunned down while three others were killed inside a home on the outskirts of the town.
Police authorities made a gruesome discovery in the town of Ascencion when they discovered five bodies in burial pits on a ranch in a remote area.
An additional 25 bodies have been found in similar burial pits nearby in the last two weeks.
According to statistics from Mexico City's attorney general's office there were 87.7 homicides per every 100,000 people in the state of Durango last year and 79.9 per 100,000 in northern Chihuahua.
