Dropkick are a 5 piece rock / powerpop band from Edinburgh, Scotland, who list Teenage Fanclub, Tom Petty, The Jayhawks and Wilco among their main influences. After a decade of playing together, Dropkick released the album, 'Homeward' last year which, according to Maverick Magazine, has 'an originality about it that defies explanation.....blending almost equal parts alternative, indie-pop, folk and country'. The band played many shows to support the album in 2014 including a very successful headline tour of Spain. To celebrate the wealth of material the band have released over the years, Spanish label, Rock Indiana Records have just released a special retrospective album of early Dropkick songs, rerecorded by the current line up.

Dropkick's love of Mallorca started in 2008 with a first visit to play a Pecan Pie event in L'losetta. The band have returned on numerous occasions, playing in different parts of the island including headlining the first Summer Pie Festival in Palma in 2012. Dropkick made even made a video for one of their songs in Valdemossa and also named one of their albums, 'Abelay Hotel', after the accommodation they used for one of their trips to the island.
