Driver rescues mother from ablaze van

Horrifying video, from China, of a man rescuing his mother from their ablaze van.

The footage, filmed in Xinxiang City in central Henan Province on December 8, 2017, shows an explosion occurring as the two step into the vehicle.

Then, the man can be seen jumping out to open the boot and help his mother out as smoke rises from his hair.

Firefighters were called to the scene and extinguished the fire within minutes.

According to local news, the van, which was illegally modified, exploded when the driver tried to start it.

The man and his mother suffered minor injuries.
