Driver accidentally reverses into central reservation

A bizarre video has emerged from China of a car reversing into the central reservation of a road because the driver reportedly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake by mistake.

In the CCTV footage, captured in Huainan, Anhui Province on Friday, a white car can be seen driving backwards onto the other lane across the central reservation.

According to local news, the car driven mistook the accelerator for the brakes.

No injuries were reported.
