Dramatic moment the quake hit Indonesia before triggering tsunami

A dramatic video has emerged from the Indonesian island of Sulawesi showing the moments after the earthquake struck a week ago.

The powerful quake triggered a devastating tsunami which has killed more than 1,500 people.

In the video, which was filmed in Palu on September 28, three motor scooters lie on the ground with their riders and passengers close by after being knocked off by the powerful tremor.

As they get to their feet, they feel the earth shake again and scream in terror.

The 7.5-magnitude earthquake hit Sulawesi island on Friday and was followed by a tsunami as high as 6m (20ft) which destroyed homes and left hundreds of thousands desperate for food and water.
