Dramatic Lorry Fire Causes Delays on M1

Part of the M1 was closed on October 31 due to a dramatic lorry fire. Jack Taylor shared footage of the vehicle engulfed in flames on Facebook.

In the first video, popping sounds can be heard coming from the lorry. Witnesses also reported</a> hearing sounds “like fireworks” coming from the fire on social media.

Taylor shared a second video showing fire services attending the scene.

Highways England said the M1 was closed between junction 21 for Leicester and junction 20 for Lutterworth.
