Dramatic lightning strike caught on camera

A dramatic video has emerged from Los Angeles, USA of a bolt of lightning striking a tree.

In the clip the lightning cracks across the sky and then bursts of into a ball of flame as it hits the tree.

The video was captured late last year but has only recently surfaced online.
