Dramatic footage shows supermarket stabbing attack

The Palestinian attacker managed to stab 2 Jewish shoppers before he was shot and injured himself. The Israeli store serve both Jews and Palestinians, and also have Palestinian workers.

The attack occurred in the Rami Levy supermarket,situated just east of Jerusalem.

One of the injured is an MDA paramedic. The victims were in moderate condition and were transported to Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem with wounds to the upper body.

Security forces were searching the area and said the terrorist was shot in the legs by an off duty security guard and was in light to moderate condition.

Two other Palestinians were arrested in connection with the attack.

Rami Levi, the owner of the supermarket chain, spoke to Ynet on his way to the branch. "I wish a speedy recovery to the wounded. They evacuated the terrorist and the victims and we'll have the store open soon. We will not allow this to affect us and change our routine. We will prove to them that they will not beat us."


Levi added that the terrorist did not work at the branch, but arrived "from outside the area." He said the branch, which has 180 employees, has three security guards stationed and one on patrol.

"This happened in central Israel and other, far less dangerous areas. To push us away from these places is what they want, it's their goal, and we will not let them have it."


He emphasized: "I say more people should visit, this branch and every other scene of a stabbing, just like I call on more people to visit Jerusalem."
