Although Martial Arts is an individual self-expression, there is a certain beauty to team work and working together as a unit. There is a certain beauty to family. There is a certain beauty to uniformity. Like the beauty of seeing 10 professional cyclists all in uniformity riding the same high quality brand name bicycles. Like having 10 Police Officers in uniform. Like having 5 basketball players in uniform.

There is strength in numbers and working together as one unit can be very powerful. Although just being a part of the masses like sheep is not the way to go, if enlightened beings work together, it can become very powerful. Like the 300 Sparten soldiers, they are working together as one unit with great power. One Bruce Lee is amazing, but imagine 10 Bruce Lee’s working together to represent something great.

It’s difficult to bring together Artists, because everybody wants to be themselves and do their own thing, but in those rare cases that Artists come together to work as one unit, it can be a beautiful expression.
